I. Our Rules

Kwadleigh is an International School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is to be found in Transylvania (Romania), but no exact coordinates are to be given, since the permanent problems with the Muggle world and the Dark Forces. The only obvious thing is that it is situated somewhere in the mountains.

The place has been closed for the last 25 years. It was first built and opened in 1432 and has given well-known magicians there since.

Our school teaches the defense against Dark Arts, since the Dark Forces have always been so strong in our land. We don't deny that Kwadleigh has also created evil wizards, but it is our students' and teachers' task to make the difference between good and evil. Second year students will also have a class of Dark Arts.

One thing to keep in mind: Yes, you do have fun at Kwadleigh, but you are also here to learn something. If you have chosen Kwadleigh, then you know you will come out as a well-trained wizard. We are very serious and take very dramatic actions against those who do not respect our regulations, including expulsion.

    THOUGH.... WHY KWADLEIGH? That's a question to which only you can find the answer, by joining our school. The main reason should be: I want to taste what a wizardry school means, with its ups and downs, with its homeworks and vacations, its trips to the village and its exams and classes, with its crazy or nice teachers that have their favorites. I want to learn how it feels to win a House Cup. I want to know what competition means and find friends that are like me.

RULE: Please do not make a habit of walking around the castle at strange hours. There are dangerous corridors and if you get caught, you know you are in trouble. Sometimes though, you might get rewarded for certain things. Always be vigilant, always pay attention to the new things around you. Not all the smiley faces want your best. Take it as a warning!

When does the school start: School starts twice a year and more information on the subject can be found on the main site, at the appropriate time. You can get your final diploma after 7 years in Kwadleigh. We have the Summer Vacation, the Easter Vacation and the Christmas Vacation.

     IMPORTANT NOTE: Every year students start by joining Kwadleigh as first years. You cannot become second year unless you've been taking our courses for the first years.

Only those who have submitted their names in the Sorting Parchment and have joined our school (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kwadleighs) will be allowed to visit Kwadleigh (for security reasons).

     Competitions: It's always a contest between houses. We will let you know more about this in the future. Whoever wins the House Cup will stay in our History Room. So wherever you are, fight for your house. We don't encourage cheaters.

Expelled from school: Yes, it can happen and it did happen and will happen again. If you are not active and if you do something against our rules. Our school encourages equality between people.
